Abstract Beams, plates, and shells, as the fundamental mechanical structures, are widely used in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) nanoelectromechanical (NEMS) sensors, actuators, energy harvesters, among others. Deeply understand electromechanical coupling of these dielectric structures is crucial for designing, fabricating, optimizing practice devices systems. Herein we demonstrate flexoelectric circular plate, which higher-order strain gradients were considered to extend classical properties isotropic materials, non-uniform distribution electric potential along radial direction was considered. Analytical solutions vibration modes plates showed that dynamic totally different from piezoelectric owing inversion symmetry breaking by gradient. The sensitive bending, twisting sensitivity effect bending. This work provides a understanding helpful designing novel plate-based devices, such mirrors.
